I read. I love to read. Nothing, not even a detonation can get me moving, if I am reading a page turner. I get obsessed with characters and so, mostly I read a lot of series, because I love to understand how the characters evolve. And sometimes, I get so attached to a particular character that I dread the last page of the novel. And sometimes, I just am lost in the word play of the author, that I tend to forget the story and the characters and just let the words woo me. And sometimes, I imagine myself to be that all powerful superwoman, who can build and destroy an empire or save the planet from alien invasion. And sometimes, I just imagine my characters, wielding their knives at the foes and singing me lullabies. And sometimes, I imagine them listening to my day or just whooping me to go on, when I am on a rampage. Basically, books and I share a love affair, that fellow book lovers will understand. They make me laugh hilariously, hate passionately, curl up in a sobbing mess, warm me up from the inside and sometimes, keep me up at night. They are a solace and a curse, for me. But, without them, I would truly feel lonely.
As happens, sometimes, not all characters can touch me. Not all books can move me. And though I never close a book without completing it, sometimes, I do feel that I would rather be reading something else that is much better. This blog is primarily to jot down my take on books that I read and how they moved me. These are my humble opinions and as personal opinions go, there is always a possibility that it could hurt someone else's sentiment of the topic the book addresses or the author they love. While I try not be offensive, I sincerely hope that you understand that personal opinions can differ from person to person and it is not my intention to hurt anyone's feelings.
I religiously update good reads and you can find me at goodreads.com (Click on the link to see my profile).
All the books I read might not end up on this blog, but the ones that absolutely moved me in either way, shall definitely be here.
Please feel free to add your comments and link me to your reviews.
Thank you,
Mahita
